Business in a box
QUINTADENA IS EXPANDING ITS SUCCESSFUL CONCEPT VIA FRANCHISING AND IS LOOKING TO RECRUIT PEOPLE WHO WANT TO RUN THEIR OWN COMPANY
Without getting too technical, the IT franchise is looking for people who want to run their own independent business and be successful. But what’s the point of starting from scratch if you can benefit from someone else’s experience?
Wealth
Quintadena wants to build long-term relationships with people who want to create wealth by developing their business much more quickly than going it alone. Franchising has been called ‘A business in a box’, and that’s exactly what Quintadena Franchising is - it provides experience, help, support, training and the know-how to enablefranchisees to get up and running quickly and develop their business to the maximum.
Quintadena understands that franchisees have certain qualities - energy, enthusiasm, resilience, motivation and the desire to succeed - just like the people behind the company. Franchisees do not have to be ‘techies’ as Quintadena will install systems remotely or host systems “in the cloud”. The company is looking for people who enjoy the buzz of making contacts in their local business community and forging long-term relationships that grow with clients’ needs.
Quintadena has been extremely successful in selling business systems (between one and five users) to small businesses, initially in the sign industry and subsequently in a wide range of other markets. As a result, the company has a wealth of experience and a proven track record in this niche market. There is a massive market for small systems. At the beginning of 2005, there were around 4.3million business enterprises in the UK , representing an increase of 1.4 per cent on the previous year. 99.3 per cent of these enterprises were small businesses (with 0-49 employees), while 0.6 per cent were medium-sized firms (with 50-249 employees) and 0.1 per cent were large businesses (with at least 250 members of staff ).
At the beginning of 2005, UK enterprises employed around 22 million people and had a combined annual turnover of around £2,400 billion. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) were shown to account for more than half of the employment and turnover in the UK , with small enterprises in particular accounting for 46.8 per cent of employment and 36.4 per cent of turnover.
Quintadena supplies Quotation systems based around QuoteWerks, which are tailored to the specific needs of each business. Quintadena web-enables QuoteWerks ‘in the cloud’ when required. That is to say, it make it possible for anyone, with appropriate access rights, to log onto their system from any internet-enabled computer anywhere in the world and work on the system in ‘real time’. For this purpose Quintadena deploys the GoGlobal solution.
By taking the time to develop an understanding of the goals and objectives surrounding clients’ requirements, Quintadena can provide better solutions that will be more robust to the effects of change and scalability. Quintadena is not in the business of selling boxes of software off the shelf - that’s a different market altogether, with probably the Microsoft Office suite being the most popular and ubiquitous example.
The company works with clients to make what they do more effective and a lot more efficient. Perhaps some examples from Quintadena’s clients demonstrate this:

Franchisees are allocated territories by postcode and are able to pursue business with any organisation within their territory. Territories are geographically different in size, with each having a target population of 50,000 prospect businesses. Franchisees receive initial training and support in setting up the business, marketing, sales and technical matters, and join Quintadena’s ‘Academy’ at a level appropriate to their expertise, which licences them to undertake defined activities.
This ensures quality control and protects the brand. There are three levels within the Academy – all franchisees meet Silver level. After that it is up to each franchisee whether they wish to become more technically qualified and progress to Gold and Platinum levels.
