Photography for Little People franchise winning hearts
18th March 2011
The Photography for Little People franchise opportunity is winning hearts all over the country. The franchise is perfectly suited for those who enjoy working with children, and who have a flair for photography.
Here, we catch up with a few Photography for Little People franchisees, who are very happy to be able to showcase their creativity while being their own bosses:
When Ann-Marie Gomez of Essex was told she was to be made redundant from her job of 10 years, unlike most of her colleagues, she breathed a sigh of relief.
"Although I enjoyed my job, when I had children it became more difficult to do the hours I needed to get the job done and also difficult to be able to find flexible enough working pattern to accommodate my children," she said.
"I decided I would use my redundancy as an opportunity to change things so that I was more in charge of my life and could fit in both work and children without either suffering.
"Ive always had an interest in photography and love babies and toddlers and so a career in photography seemed obvious to me.
"Instead of setting up by myself I decided to join a franchise with a proven business model so that I could get started straight away without worrying about branding and marketing strategies.
"I looked at a few franchises but fell in love with the Photography for Little People market image. Ive been on board now for a couple of months so Im just getting started really.... but im loving it...I love the work and I love being able to drop and collect my kids from school.
Lee Gordon of Medway/Canterbury found the Photography for Little People franchise opportunity on the internet on Boxing Day, 2009.
"My husband, son and new puppy were all curled up on the settee watching a film and I was curious as to what 2010 would hold for me," Lee remembers.
"I had researched a number of photography franchise companies but the opportunity that Photography for Little Peopleoffered was a more hands-on approach, and something that I could truly call my own, rather than being a glorified photographer for somebody else.
"Ive always loved taking photographs the opportunity to capture moments in time never ceases to amaze me. I also love children and strongly believe they are precious gifts, given to this world.
"Photography for Little People gives me the opportunity to put the two together, to capture these precious gifts in moments of time that will last forever. Photography for Little People continually strive for excellent results putting customer focus at the core of the business.
"They are unique in terms of their approach and with quality second to none, the results speak for themselves. I love my new career and I get to giggle every day yeeha!
Melanie Kemp, of Photography for Little People, Durham, quite simply loves her job.
"I love the freedom to book my appointments around my family and the rewards that come from capturing such lovely images for my clients," she said.
"The financial rewards are great! At the beginning of March, which most retailers would say was a quiet period, I took just under 2k from five appointments in one week. So for 7.5 hours I made 1,200.
"Very pleasing when I look at my accounts but even more pleasing when I read the comments my clients write about my work on my facebook page about their images," she says. Please see some of these comments below:
