Business History

Go Yoga was founded in 2013 by Sophie Bickerdike in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Go Yoga offers Yoga in a safe and ethical environment. The nature of Yoga is to create spiritual, mindful amazing experiences to transform the body, mind and spirit.

Sophie began teaching in local clubs, fitness centres and at home but felt that her town was missing a sanctuary where people could discover and practice yoga in a place that felt special, cared for and felt part of the community.

Sophie opened the doors of Go Yoga in her hometown of Harrogate in 2013. Numbers quickly grew and by the end of the first year Go Yoga Harrogate had 12 classes a week and two contracted teachers. The following years saw consistent growth and attendance doubled. Sophie began teacher training courses which were quickly sold out. Classes at Go Yoga currently average over 250 people a week, with additional attendance at workshops and events.

As a Franchisee you will be involved in all aspects of the operation of the business. You will be expected to operate your business at times and on days which service the requirements of your customers. This can be dictated by you, as it is you who will decide on which day and what time you schedule your classes.

Who we're looking for?

Whilst no experience in the industry is necessary as we will provide you with full initial and ongoing training a love of Yoga is a must. You will also receive marketing and central and regional websites so that you can hit the ground running.

You could be a yoga teacher or an attendee of yoga classes. This is a fantastic opportunity to take your love of yoga to the next level. Ambition is a key trait that we require, since it is essential for building a profitable and sustainable business while simultaneously improving the lives of those around you.

You will need time to work on business aspects such as marketing, recruiting and managing additional teachers, as well as spending time with your clients. People skills are essential in this business
