Following his graduation from East 15 Acting School, Tommy Balaam set up Captain Fantastic in 2010 to save children from patronising and dull parties!
Increasingly popular, the shows became over-subscribed within Tommy’s first year in business. In 2013, best friend and former East 15 graduate, Ricky Fox, became Tommy’s full time business partner.
Aware of a gap in the market for toddler groups and high-end interactive discos, Ricky added even more to the company’s portfolio, widening their appeal. Tommy and Ricky are continually developing Captain Fantastic. Their considerable understanding of children, sensory play, education and a big sense of fun, ensured a flourishing business that has developed into the success story we see today.
As a unique children’s entertainment company founded by professional entertainers, a Captain Fantastic show offers 1-11 year olds magic, puppetry, balloon modelling, music and dancing. Shows can be aimed at corporate occasions, birthdays, celebrity parties and even regular toddler groups.
It is essential all events remain fresh and exciting; all shows must be relevant, amusing and provide a new experience for every child involved.
Captain Fantastic’s main focus is education from entertainment - children should learn through fun. In addition to parties, discos and toddler groups, confidence clubs at schools are also part of their portfolio. All entertainers are trained and experienced performers sharing the Capitan Fantastic ethos and mentality, wishing to create memorable experiences on every occasion.

Your role will be to develop and manage the business within your local area.
This involves the delivery of the Captain Fantastic themed parties, recruiting and training new entertainers. You will also be required to approach schools, event planners and other potential clients to generate, build and maintain a sustained revenue source.
