Crêpeaffaire Franchise comes to Wimbledon

Feb 10, 2017

Crêpeaffaire, the UK’s market leader and one of London’s favourite eateries, is continuing to make big strides in franchising with the opening of its newest crêperie on The Broadway, Wimbledon, with franchise partner Parakh Gandhi. Parakh Gandhi, whose career was with Yum Brands (Pizza Hut and KFC) before joining Expedia UK as Director of Market Management, comments: “Both my personal interest and professional background are in food, and I was looking for an opportunity to develop an up-and-coming brand with multiple site potential. Crêpeaffaire seemed a natural choice: it is unique, professionally operated and very tasty.”

Comments Crêpeaffaire Founder and MD Daniel Spinath: “Franchising is a crucial part of our brand expansion strategy. We are keen to work with the best partners to secure the best sites available. We are proud to partner with Parakh, who shares our passion for the brand and delivers a consistently excellent store experience to our customers”.

The Wimbledon store will offer an extensive range of signature freshly-baked savoury and sweet crêpes made with organic flour and natural ingredients, both to eat in or to consume on the go. Waffles, organic coffees, juices, shakes and ice cream will complement the menu. The store will feature a brand new design and its trademark “crêpe theatre” with crêpes being produced by Crêpeaffaire’s unique and ultra fast baking machine, and hand-finished to order.

Adds Spinath: “Crêpes have become a truly universal and international food item, ideal for every meal occasion and as a snack. They are loved by young and old all over the world. Our presence at one of London’s most vibrant high streets should strike a chord with Wimbledon’s multicultural catchment area”.

Adds Parakh: “As a franchisee I was going to commit my time and resources to the brand. I was looking for a growth-oriented franchisor with whom I could work closely to set up my new business. I have enjoyed working with the Crêpeaffaire management team, who have been involved at every step of the new store concept, design and logistics. The team is very committed and hands-on – led by the founder himself!”.

The brand, which is BFA member, is set to continue its roll-out of company-owned and franchised sites in the UK and abroad. “We are selective when it comes to choosing franchise partners. A great partnership is the foundation for a great business, and both the franchisee and franchisor need to feel comfortable that there is a commitment to doing great things together, not unlike a marriage” says Spinath.
