A successful West Yorkshire oven valeting firm has taken on a new member of staff to meet increased demand after experiencing a 35% growth in business activity, compared to the same period last year.

Ovenu West Yorkshire, which serves Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield, has appointed Lee Horsfall as a technician, taking the number of full-time employees at the company to six, which also has support available from a network of part-time sub-contractors.

Established in 2009, Ovenu West Yorkshire completes more than 2,500 oven valets annually to homes and businesses throughout the region.

In addition to taking on new staff, earlier in the year, the firm invested in its fleet, with the delivery of two new vans for its employees.

Richard Greenwood, owner of Ovenu West Yorkshire, said: “The business has enjoyed another successful year buoyed by strong economic conditions, which has allowed me to continue to invest in our workforce and increase our offering across West Yorkshire. The promising growth figures and general state of Ovenu West Yorkshire bodes well for the company’s future.

“I would like to welcome Lee to the team and with the additional expertise and dedication he brings to the business, this will allow us to build on this period of growth and, above all, continue to provide a high quality service to clients.”

Ovenu is a franchise network made up of more than 100 businesses owned by men and women working throughout the UK.

Rik Hellewell, Managing Director and Founder of Ovenu, said: “I am delighted for Richard that his business is performing well and has allowed him to continue to invest and create further job opportunities. I would like to welcome Lee to Ovenu and under Richard’s guidance; I’m sure he will thrive in the role and help support the company’s growth.”

The Ovenu valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
