Leading medical and domiciliary care franchise Kare Plus has been awarded a major contract for provision of Home Care services from Warwickshire County Council, potentially worth £15m per annum.

According to National Franchise Manager Paul Wilshaw, Kare Plus has won the contract based on their strong tender response and track record in supplying similar services to neighbouring authority, Worcestershire.

The contract, which runs until November 2015, is to provide care for vulnerable adults between 18-64 years.

The contract is likely to benefit at least three Kare Plus franchisees in the region, but will be led by Kim Hutchins of Kare Plus Redditch, who already has substantial experience in this sector.

“The Warwickshire County Council contract is the latest in a series of significant new business wins for Kare Plus, which will directly benefit our franchisees,” observes Kare Plus Managing Director Steve Welsh. “We recently secured an important national account in the private sector and are awaiting confirmation of other regional contracts from the NHS as well as from private healthcare organisations.”

He adds, “Major changes in this marketplace have driven tremendous growth in demand for independent businesses to provide specialist medical services as well as domiciliary care at home and in hospitals. Our reputation and experience means that Kare Plus is in a great position to win such lucrative contracts which our franchisees then fulfil. Our network is growing strongly, but we need to recruit some more ambitious, high flying business minded people able to take advantage of the tremendous opportunities we have nationwide!”
