After three years providing tax and accountancy services to the small business community in Long Eaton, Nottingham, TaxAssist Accountants Phil Marriott and Carl Whitehead have expanded their practice, moving into a new, larger shop on Derby Road.

Phil and Carl set up TaxAssist Accountants in Long Eaton in 2013 and now look after more than 350 small businesses in the local area. In response to growing demand and new businesses starting up, they decided the time was right to expand into a larger, more centrally located shop.

After a year of negotiations and an extensive refurbishment, the new TaxAssist Accountants shop was officially opened this week (18th May) by the Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Abey Stevenson, who joined the TaxAssist team and the local business community for champagne and canapés to help celebrate the opening.

“With a growing client base and business going from strength-to-strength in Long Eaton we’ve been on the lookout for a shop-front premise for some time and this seems to be the perfect location and time,” said Phil and Carl.  “Demand for our services continues to grow and the new office gives us the opportunity to grow with it.”

“We would like to thank the Mayor, Councillor Abey Stevenson and the local small business community who came along to help us celebrate our official opening.”

In addition to their new Long Eaton shop, Phil and Carl also operate a shop from Shepshed in Loughborough, Leicestershire. Phil originally set up the TaxAssist Accountants shop in Shepshed on his own in 2008, having successfully run smaller offices in Loughborough since 2002. Carl joined Phil as a partner in 2011 having been employed in the practice since 2008. TaxAssist in Long Eaton originally launched in 2013.
