A charity fund-raising day organised by Driver Hire franchisees has helped raise £3,600 for two excellent charities: ‘Macmillan Cancer’ and ‘Walking with the Wounded’. All part of Driver Hire’s thirtieth anniversary celebrations, which have continued throughout this year, the Driver Hire network donated £1 for every shift they provided for their customers on the day.

“It was a fantastic effort,” says Chris Chidley, Driver Hire’s Chief Executive. “As one of the UK’s longest established and highly respected franchises we felt that helping good causes was a great way to celebrate thirty successful years in business. As franchisor, we’d already committed to donate an extra pound for every shift our offices covered, and this took the total to £3,600.”

One of the UK’s leading franchise businesses, Driver Hire has 100 offices nationwide. It mainly provides temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to local and national organisations in both the public and private sector. If they’re short of staff – perhaps because of illness, holidays or seasonal demand – Driver Hire will supply them with suitable cover.
