It’s been an excellent year for Driver Hire and its franchisees. Another strong set of weekly turnover figures for the final week in March completed an outstanding twelve months. All of which helped Driver Hire to smash their previous best (set in 2007/08) by over a £1m.

Overall network turnover for the year ending 31st March 2014 was £78m, 19% up on the previous year. Around the country, 38 offices increased turnover by 25% or more. Within that number were 18 offices who achieved growth of 50% or more. The Driver Hire network also had 29 offices passing the £1m turnover mark. And, with the network’s average growth running at 27.5% during the final weeks of 2013/14, it looks as though Driver Hire will make a flying start to the new financial year as well.

The past financial year has also seen increasing demand for the additional range of services offered by Driver Hire’s franchised network. As the first deadline for Driver CPC training gets closer, Driver Hire Training helped just short of 30,000 drivers towards completion of this essential qualification. Driver Hire’s eServices, which include online training and its innovative dh Licence Check, were also in demand.

Commenting on Driver Hire’s record breaking achievement, Chris Chidley, Driver Hire’s Group Chief Executive, said: “Whilst there’s no doubt that the economy is improving, our rate of growth is easily outpacing it. There’s a definite flight to quality with an increasing number of businesses and organisations recognising that Driver Hire is a recruitment agency they can trust – a reliable and compliant nationwide partner for all their staffing needs. Breaking the record is a fantastic way to celebrate our 30th year in business.”
