Ernesto Martinez and his brother Adolfo, are the master licensee’s for EMBROIDME in Central America, Their geographical territory takes in six countries. Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.
They opened a flagship location in Managua, Nicaragua in late 2012 which was well embraced by the local business community right from the start. As a matter of fact, initially, the two brothers master license agreement just covered the country of Nicaragua. Their plans when we collectively decided to move forward to launch EMBROIDME was to always expand their license to take in the rest of Central America once the flagship store became positive cash flow. Well, the store did well right from the start and they came back to us requesting the additional countries which we awarded them.
Actually, Adolfo, who is the younger brother, oversees the daily operations as Ernesto resides in neighboring Colombia where he is the CEO of his own company which is a technology firm. The thought was to acquire, grow and build a franchise business that offered long term growth and expansion possibilities. EMBROIDME was the answer. The goal from here is for them to begin to offer individual franchise licenses to people interested in running and managing their own EMBROIDME franchise in their respective country. This is the real value of owning a master license. The ability to make income from the selling of franchise licenses and receiving monthly royalty fees is substantial.
