With over 30 years experience gained within the shower and bathroom industry before joining shuttercraft, Peter has built a strong reputation for himself in the West Midlands based on hard work, honesty and professionalism and is always the first person people to turn to for advice.
Peter was working as a Sales Manager for an Italian supplier of shower and bathroom doors to some of the UK’s largest retailers and leading independent shops, so understands a premium product well, possess an excellent eye for detail and outstanding customer service skills. After working in the bathroom industry for so long, Peter wanted a new challenge and had always dreamed of being his own boss.
Peter started his research into franchising by looking on the internet and visiting the leading franchise directories before deciding to find out more by attending the National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham in February 2013. Peter spoke to several franchisors about their business opportunities and one of them stood out from the crowd. After finding out about Shuttercraft at the show, Peter arranged a second meeting with Michael Schnuppe – Head of Sales & Marketing for Shuttercraft – where he discussed the opportunity and financials in more depth before committing to Shuttercraft due to the attractive package, market leading product range, comprehensive support and transparent spending of the franchise fee that is in part re-invested into new franchisees business launch.
Peter chose franchising over employed work because he liked the idea of being his own boss but didn’t want to start up from scratch. Having researched franchises extensively, he felt the start up and support packages they offer best met his needs. Tony is looking forward to developing his new window shutter business in and around Droitwich Spa in Worcestershire and also looks forward to finding the right work/life balance that his previous employed job didn’t offer due to his work commitments and dedication to the job.
